TMI Question
I am getting desparate to have this baby soon...my dr said to have lots of sex to get my cervix to dialate. 
My question is: does the position have anything to do with it or is it just b/c sperm is supposed to have pitocin-like effect? I ask b/c certain positions are now becoming a bit, ahem, challenging!! TIA!

I would think the positions that got the sperm closer to your cervix, much like the positions that we tried when TTC!
doggie style, side by side maybe.

I am pretty sure your doctor meant that having an ****** would cause your uterus to contract, which makes the cervix open. I don't think the sperm has much to do with it at this point...

no, it def does- it has progestagland (sp?) a hormone found in semen that softens and ripens the cervix for effacement and dialation.

Hey...
I was just on babycenterplus website and they have a 2 minute video about how to stimulate labor....they said both the semen and the Big O can speed things up.
