Your DIY Wedding
Hey girls! I was just reading a thread about people not missing planning their wedding. I dont know about you but I loved every minute of planning mine. I keep telling my husband that I wish we could get married every year. I think the reason I enjoyed it so much is because I am a crafty DIY'er and I loved coming up with my own ideas and making my day so much more special.
If you were a DIY bride like myself, share some of the things you did for your big day and post pics if you have them!
Here are some of the things we did...
-I had made the guys boutonnieres using pressed leaves, tiny pine cones, dried berries and wheat.
-We made our favors, wooden shore birds with hand made tags (they doubled as place cards)... it was fitting because we were engaged on the beach.
-I made the girls jewelry. Leaf earrings with matching necklaces & bracelets.
-I made trees with hand made boxes that hung with battery t-lights.
-I also made my veil, hubby made our card box which was a wood barn with holes cut out for the windows (we have it in our kitchen now with a little light inside it so the light shines through the windows.
I know I did more but just wanted to name a few.

I wasn't a DIY but I agree that I TOTALLY LOVED wedding planning and would totally do it every year!

i did a bunch of DIY stuff...i feel the same way as you do in that I wish i could plan a wedding every year!! My best friend is getting married this year so I am doing a bunch of stuff for her shower and wedding!! Image Attachment(s):

We did a lot ourselves too! It was fun i did a lot of things with my Mom too. i love all of your items I had a fall wedding too!
