anyone else scared..

i feel alot better than i did when we mc..i have my days but overall im much better

but every now and then i cant help and get so mad cause i feel like the mc ruined my next pregnancy..whenever that may be..

i say that because i am going to be so terrified every time i go to the bathroom..every time i do anything..that something bad is going to happen..

i was talking with dh bout it the other day and he kinda was like we have to go on..u cant let it make u scared for thr whole time u r preggo etc etc

i just said u dont understand..then felt bad i said that lol..

i really hope the joy of getting preggo outweighs the fear because i really want to be happy whenever i get preggoChat Icon

Re: anyone else scared..

I will be honest I was scared through a lot of my pregnancy..especially in the beginning. Sometimes I got angry b/c having a m/c kind of took away some of the joys and innocence of being pregnant...

But after the 12 week mark I told myself that I needed to stop and really started to enjoy it. I hope you get that chance too. but also know it's ok to be nervous...I think it's completely normal.

Terrified, I am sure we will all be that way. I feel the same way. I am so anxious to get preggo, but know once I am I will be a wreck. I am ready to get PG again, I feel like that is the only way I will move on. All I ever wanted was to be pg and have a healthy baby. Try to look towards what you really want and what will bring you happiness, the nervousness will be there, but I hope that everyday will get easier.

Re: anyone else scared..

I feel this way too, in a way. I didn't have a typical m/c experience because I carried till 17.5wks and then had serious complications.

During my pregnancy, I looked forward to sonogram and was SO focused on finding out the gender! Next time around I'll be MUCH more nervous for my sonograms .. and I can tell you now, I don't care AT ALL about the gender!

Before I was pregnant, I didn't know about miscarriages and late losses. I knew they happened - but it was the kind of thing that happened to other people. I remember reading about a late loss on here even and felt HORRIBLE for the person, but still never imagined it was something I would be going through. Since having my loss, I have heard an endless amount of stories from people who have had similar experiences. It had opened my eyes to how common this type of situation really is! Chat Icon I was having a conversation with someone I knew for YEARS, and when I told her what happened to me, she said she lost her first pregnancy at 7 months.

This time around, I'm not only going in more knowledgeable, but also more realistic. Pregnancy lost its innocence for me the moment the doctor said the words, "we need to talk". Hopefully I will have it in me to enjoy my pregnancy again next time around, but I don't think sonograms will ever be the same!

I agree with you 100% Part of my gets so envious of those who go through prenancy clueless about what kind of complications can occur. I think Im better off that way. Now that I know what could happen, Im always going to worry.
Its a natural instinct to want to protect your baby so even while pregnant, you do everything you can and sometimes it's just not in our control.
We have to believe that it will all work out. Zoe has it right when she says at some point, we just have to get over it...
We're all scared but that's why we're here!!
Good luck!!

Re: anyone else scared..

YES! I'm going to be so scared and nervous but I'll try not to be. I probably won't enjoy it until I get past my 12 weeks... at the 12 week appt that is when things turned for the worst so until I get past what I was then I don't think I will be okay.

I hope that it is different 2nd time around and none of us have to experience this again.

Re: anyone else scared..

The next one will be scary and you will be very anxious about every move you make. But, you have to remember that that isn't healthy for you or the baby. As hard as it may be the only thing you can do is try to relax and control only things the things that are within your control. By this I mean, seeing the doctor regularly and being honest about what you are feeling...they will help. Taking care of yourself and watching your diet. It will be a bumpy ride, but just think of what you will be gaining when it is all over with. Good luck to you!

In the future, I will never be able to relax until there is a healthy, perfect baby in my arms. After 4 m/c's it's just not possible.

Re: anyone else scared..

Gina, I feel the same way when I was preggo with our 1st pregnancy. I miscarried at exactly 10 wks and had to get a D/C. When I was pregnant with our Chat Icon , the fear didn't go away until I had her in my arms. You just have to try to think positive and everything will be okay. Also, I pray a lot so that calms my fear down also.

It is terrifying!!! I am going through it now....Talk about the worst anxiety!!! Im just going on 7 weeks so I am still in the really early unpredictable stages!!!! I am however trying my best to be calm and think positive. I do believe everything is in gods hands - your fate is your fate - but it is scary....i wish i was a nieve person that didnt know what complications were!!

Re: anyone else scared..

I don't even want to think about it Chat Icon

I had a pretty uneventful pregnancy with my 1st, up until 33wks. Then it got tricky.

I never really calmed down until I had her in my arms. Now after having a loss, I can only imagine how nutty I am going to be WHEN I get pregnant again.

I have to agree with a PP. Prayer and meditation helped me so very much my first time around. Good luck Chat Icon
