Help me decide on a vacation girls!
My 4 year wedding anniversary is coming up in November. Both options are for one week. I know this may be long... so thanks for reading and helping me decide! DH is leaning towards option #1. I am not sure! Both places look great!
Option 1: Couples Swept Away - Negril Jamaica. I am partial to Negril bc my SIL is from that area of Jamaica and she and my brother had their wedding there. I LOVE it

I've never been to either but from what dh and I look for i'd pick #2, we love to gamble!
eta: we'd also go to whichever had the better snorkeling!

And I'd pick number one because we hate casinos!
I totally agree about the snorkeling though!

I've head that the Negril Jamaica resort is amazing! I'm dying to go myself. Save yourself the $500 and head to Jamaica!

Punta cana hands down!
The food is 100x better than in Jamaica. The meat in Jamaica is not very good and EVERYTHING is "jerk" style. it gets old fast!

I stayed at the RIU Tropical and the food was great. The meat was not all jerk style (though they did have jerk) but they prepared it lots of different ways. Maybe it depends where you stay.

Thanks girls... my hubby is driving me crazy now he says we should just go to Mexico bc you get more for your dollar there.  I'm checking out Riu Palace Las Americas in Cancun seems pretty nice and not a bad price either.

I stayed at Couples Ocho Rios (which is now named Couples Tower Isle).
They had a variety of food at COR and I did enjoy it. But more often than not, things were "jerk" and it got to be a bit much.
However I will say that the service at Couples resorts is OUT OF THIS WORLD. I was truly amazed at how many people we met during our HM that said this was their 3rd, 4th, or 5th+ stay at a Couples resort.
We stayed at Iberostar Bavaro in Punta Cana and it was just fantastic.
If you're looking at Mexico -- don't just assume that you will get "more for your money" there like your DH says. The high tourist areas are not as cheap as you'd think they would be. IMO your money will go much further in Jamaica or DR, as I've been to all 3 countries.

I would say Punta Cana. DH and I just went to Jamaica for our honeymoon and we almost came home early. The food did not agree with us and spent half our honeymoon in the bathroom.
