Kinda lost

I met with Dr. B yesterday for the second time and he really is awesome.. he answered all of my questions but I still feel like I have more.. so I'm looking to you ladies.

He did bloodwork and an internal sonogram and said I can start on provera to bring on AF and then start femara and then I go in a week later and can start my first IVF cycle.

I'm confused at how the cycle even starts.. do I have to go on injectibles for awhile before they do the insemination or do they just do it right away?

I am so overwhelmed I think I need to read up on this whole thing!!

i was a patient of dr b..and did ivf... had to switch for insurance reasons..


i found every cycle to be different depending on what your body does or doesnt do...

but i would not hesitate to email him..... he is really good about that if you are hesitant to call gl!

whatveer you do you most liely do it days 3-7, he had told me we can add injectibles later-he means next cycle not later in this cycle, he will see how you respond to femera

most ivf cycles start with a few weeks of BCP or a lupron protocol. then anywhere from 7-14 days of injectable stims before egg retrieval. then transfer is based on how the embryos are doing, either 3day or 5day. im in the stim process of my first (and hopefully only) IVF with dr. B but FM if you have any questions!!

ETA - it seems odd that you are starting with femara, but im sure dr. B has his reasons! good luck!!
