Still no ELA scores?

We still have not received scores for any of the fourth grade tests. Is this odd? Has anyone else received any? I asked at Back to School Night and the teacher said she didn't know.

I don't want to seem like I'm all hung up on testing, but I feel like they invested so much time and energy on all these tests last year, and I would like to know how DS did!!

Saw this post, so I called the NYS Department of Education (NYS Dept of Ed contact list for future reference ). They were sent out to the districts on July 20th.

I followed up by calling my elementary school. They said they haven't received the parent reports yet but expect to in another week or two.

haven't received DD's 5th grade ELA scores yet. The elementary school said they were sending them out by the middle of October.

I think the delay is from the fact that they raised the "passing" level.

There are a number of students who would have passed with the old standard, but now they were "caught" with the new standard.

Districts are not obligated to give services for these students (RtI - response to invervention) this year, but my district is taking this as an opportunity to help students that may have fallen through the cracks. I imagine many districts are re-evaluating their plans doue to these students and that's probably the reason for the hold up.

I believe our parent letters are going out soon.

We (parents) didn't receive them.. but I received something that was based on his ELA scores, so I know the district got them. I heard that we'd get a report in mid October.

parents of NYCDOE students have had online access to the scores since Aug 16th through the ARIS parent link.

You wont get the scores until late October.
