so i think i got a long-term temporary job!
after almost two years of being unemployed, and many many interviews and rejections, I finally got a job offer! It's a temp to perm situation, but still...it's the most positive thing that's happened in my job search to date so I'm excited!
thanks everyone for listening to my venting throughout. it really helped a lot. now i just need to pass the backgournd check and drug screen and it'll be official. Hopefully it does turn perm b/c it seems like a great place w/ nice people.
thank you again for all your support, and i will be thinking of/ sending those still looking all the best of luck and wishes  You may see me on here again venting about job searching if it doesn't go perm, but i'll cross that bridge when i come to it (if i do- crossing fingers that it works out)

thank you!! i feel somewhat relieved, but i do still have a little cloud overhead b/c it's not permanent, but i'm just truly grateful to have this oppty

Congratulations!!!! I've been unemployed for almost 2 years and hearing someone that has been unemployed as long me, gives me hope. I hope that it does turn to a permanent job for you, but for now, at least its something. Good luck!!!

Congrats!!! That is awesome...DH has been going thru the same kind of hell so i know what it's like..great to hear some positive news in this crappy job market!

I hope something turns up for your DH, too. It can be just as frustrating for the significant other as well.

Yay....I know it's a struggle. I have been freelancing at the same place for a year and they are very non-commital.
Good luck and bank all the money you can

the company actually found me through monster. after i interviewed they had me get set up with the agency they use for temps. so the company recruiter gave me the offer, and the agency did my background check and drug screen, and i sent the agency my I9 and W4 b/c I'll be submitting timesheets to the agency, who will be paying me
