Update on my nephew
As some of you know DH and I took in his nephew from Vegas because his mom asked us to (she is a pill popper) well he was quite a handfull and he didnt get along with my kids or my other SIL's kids(she has 4) so we were switching back and forth .....well my MIL decided that she was never giving him back to his Mom and she took him and called up Vegas and said you are never getting him back
Needless to say his Mom was on the first flight and took him back with her
Well even though he was a royal pain in the tush we miss him and are so worried about what is gonna happen to him!!!what was my MIL thinking ??

Oh no..I'm really sorry to hear this. IMO, she should be reported to child protective services in Vegas. The authorities should be involved in this case, since from everything you have told us, she is an unfit mother and the child is suffering for it.

Even though he is 5 he acts like he is 2 or 3 so I dont think he understood that we are never gonna see him again...he kept telling me that he would come back to play tomorrow
I cried at the airport when they walked away
its so sad

I have to say that taking care of him wasnt as easy as I thought it was gonna be
He had a lot of issues...he was very physical with my 3 yr old daughter and she was constantly being pushed and kicked and bullied
I just hope that he does ok with school and now his mom has a new boyfriend I hope he still calls me

this is really the way to go. If you know the mother is unfit, you should have the authorities involved. Maybe file for legal custody or at least partial custody.

I have a friend with the same sort of problem and it is really heartwrenching.
