did you work until (not talking about working from home!-i wish i had that option!!)
actually going to the work place?

I plan to stop working 2 weeks before. I'm 35 weeks now (well in a day) and it is getting rough. I commute almost an hour each way and work long days so it's been rough. I can't wait for the next 3 weeks to go by.

My plan was to work until 38 weeks. But I wound up on bedrest at 33 week when I was pregnant with my DS.

This time around I am a SAHM, so I guess I don't qualify for maternity leave

I am working up to 39 weeks, but I only go there 3 days a week. I commute to NYC from Patchogue, so it's a long way for me. I wanted to commute until the last minute, but i'm getting scared of the commute.

Oct 29th- 21 days to go. I am very fortunate and have been able to work from home for the third tri.

I'm trying to go right up until the end- as long as my doctor says its ok- I'm about 6 weeks from my edd now

I only get 12 weeks, so I want to spend as much of that with the baby as possible!

With #1 I was only working PT but I worked until I was induced unexpectedly. I had gone to a dr. apt after my short day at work and was sent right to the hospital.

I commute to NYC and will stop commuting and start working from home at 38 weeks.

With DD I was due Jan 5th (had her Jan 9th) and worked until Dec 31st.

Now I'm due Nov 1st and I'm going to try to work until Oct 29th.

I only get 2 months so I'm trying to maximize my time with the baby. I'm delivering at Winthrop so if I go into labor at work I'll just take the LIRR right to Mineola to the hospital, faster than driving.

The commute is getting tougher but at least it's not 90 degrees anymore. The maternity laws in the USA $uck. If men gave birth they'd probably get a year off after - Paid.

I plan on working until I have the baby as long as my doctor says it's ok. I am sure I will be fine though as I have had no complications during the pregnancy. I will be 34 weeks tomorrow and while I am exhausted all of the time I would rather get the extra time after the baby gets here than before!

I'm probably going to play it out and see how it goes. My boss assumes I'm working up until the day my water breaks, but I just don't see that happening. I'm a preschool teacher and it is a VERY physical & emotional DRAINING job. My mother told me that it's essential that I rest before I give birth, so I'm thinking that I'll stop working anywhere between 2-4 weeks before my due date. Just gonna have to wait and see HOW I'm feeling when the time comes, kwim?

My last day is going to be two weeks before my EDD. (If I worked for an industry that had a different maternity leave policy, I'd take less time, but I'm a guidance counselor and I'm taking the rest of the school year off). That also depends on how I feel at the end.

I worked up until the day before my c section with DD and am doing the same this time. BUT, my commute is a 10 minute drive from home/hospital! Anyone still trekking into the city at 35+ weeks is my new personal hero!

With DS, I was plan on working until I went into labor! I felt very good and lived 5 blocks from where I worked.

I was due on a Monday and the Thursday before my due date, I was not feeling well at all and went to the doctor. DS was pushing on a nerve and I think my blood pressure problems were starting - long story about why nothing was done then Anyway, I decided to stop work that Friday. DS made his arrival on Monday so it all worked out

This time, I am going to wait and see how I feel, but will probably be stopping work the week before I am due.

With DD #1 I went 10 days early and was going to work up until the day I went. I plan on doing the same with baby #2.

Work until the end but I do have the option to work from home so I will probably do that the last week

I am going to work until my doctor grounds me. . I travel for work by plane most of the time so I def can't work until the bitter end unless I have local contracts which I am HOPING for bc I don't want to take maternity any sooner than I have to.
