How Do I Do This - updated in bottom post.
we had to make an emergency trip to California to see my uncle who is dieing of liver cancer. he went from 0-60 rapidly - it went from we'll go see him end of September to COME NOW...
we are going to see him tomorrow and i truly have no idea how i'm going to do it. i barely kept it together tonight talking to my aunt....and i'm crying now. i miss him already and he's not even gone yet....
i just don't know how to be strong...

I'm so sorry !!
They just found masses in my aunts brain and breasts..they are testing everything to see if it is cancer ,so we are bracing for the worst and it hurts so bad to think that if it is ,it is propably too late

well - the visit with him went okay. he was coherent (he's only that way 25% of the time)....he knew who i was, we joked inappropriately a lot (since somewhere in there is still his sarcastic sense of humor)....and i lost it bad when he got really upset and asked my aunt to come close and he said - i'm dieing. that was the end for me....
we didn't see him again - after our visit - he was beat. we'll see him again tomorrow and we're in cali until Tuesday... i didn't sleep last night and don't expect to tonight....
i don't know how i'm keeping it together. we went (my 2 cousins, dave, emma and I) to a baseball game tonight and my cousin told me at the end - thank you for this (it's part of our goal, dave & mine to see every MLB staidum)....so they knew we'd want to go.... he said it was an amazing distraction that he needed badly...
i just am at a loss....

thank you all.....he passed last night. my aunt went into the room to say hi, i love you, etc....and noticed his breathing was labored. she left the room to call my cousin to come over and by the time she went back in - he was gone.
i am so thankful we had our visit. in total - we were there for a week, and i got to see him for a few hours in 3 days...but i got to tell him some stuff i really wanted to and was able to help my aunt (i cooked for her so she could just reheat and go)...
what i'm most upset about is that my daughter will never get to know him. she'll never feel the 'joy' i always felt seeing an email pop up from him....she'll never get to know his sarcastic, intelligent, witty humor....it kills me.

Jess you are going to have some amazing and funny stories to tell Em about your Uncle even though she will never see him she will know what an impact he made on your life and what a wonderful person he was!!! Hang in there Mama!!!
