if you work, how often does your dog go without going outside for the potty?

dh and i are trying to figure out the max amount of hours a dog would be left alone and are trying to gauge if it's too much or not.

we have a doggie door for our dog, but we have left him inside on bad weather days while we are at work... the most he's been left inside is 8-9 hours & he's fine

Ours can go about 10-11 hours. They're rarely left alone that long, but that's the most we've ever left them, and they were fine.
I think it depends on their age. Puppies and old dogs can't hold their bladder as long as mid-age dogs.

Around 4-6 hours. My dh comes home during his lunch break to let them out usually.

Ours are alone from 8-10 hours a day during the week since we've had them and they are fine.

Mine are alone for about 8-9 hours but they have no problems with it.

Our dog is alone 10-11 hrs. Never had any problems but she is a large breed and they can hold it longer than small dogs. We recently put in a doggie door, but we don't think she uses when we aren't home. She likes us to be "watching" her when she goes to the bathroom. Probably because she gets a treat after she goes.

About 9 hours. This puppy has accident sometimes not yet one. older dog only has accident if she doesnt feel well.

We have a doggie door so they can go out whenever they need to, but they often hold it for up to 10 hours They're adult dogs though, they couldn't wait that long when they were puppies.

Ours are alone on some days up to 8.5 hours and they are able to hold themselves. I also have a we we pad out but, they dont use it.

it varies from day to day, but the longest we've ever left him was for 12 hours. Generally he's alone for 8-10 hours when we're at work.

also wanted to say my dog is 4 years old - when we first got him as a puppy, he was going out every 2 hrs...

usually 6-7 hours, tops. i walk him around 6:30am, then he has a dog walker around noon, and DH or I are home from work b/w 6 - 7pm
