child photography - the bizzare posed baby shots
K now I do not knock the photographer since I know we do what is asked of us but I find those shots with the baby doing unnatural poses just bizarre.
Ex. above babies don't hold their heads up and it looks kinda creepy to me.
Am I the only one?

Definitely not alone! I get wicked creeped out by them. Especially to poses where the baby is sleeping...ack! I scroll away very quickly.

Slightly creepy but they are all taking these poses from Anne Geddes basically. All they need are butterfly wings and it would be the same thing!

Sorry, crashing...You are not alone. I used to think the exact same thing and vividly remember making fun of the whole "baby holding their head in their hands pose" at a GTG. But then when it was MY kid, I thought it was adorable

My roommate in college had an Anne Geddes calendar & I thoguht it was so strange.
The propped up baby photos, always look like they would be uncomfortable, but I guess they aren't or the babies would be crying.
We saw some pics of a family babay held in a blanket, sort of in a hammock-like fashion, and you couldn't see his torso. It looked like ( according to his grandmother) a bag of of baby parts.  She didn't get that one framed.

The only one that creeps me out is the shots where you can still see the umbilical cord in newborns.
It seems like some dark and gross thing in the middle of the pic of this gorgeous little baby.
Otherwise I think the pics are cute.

funny thing is now someone asked me to do baby pics for them, i told them i don't do creepy posed shots just normal looking baby pics they looked at me like i was crazy (i said hey i am doing it for free)

I think they are cute. Some poses are a little weird, but overall, I think it is cute and it would probably be something I would do when I have kids.

I'm with you.
Not to hijack, but on a similar note, my friend just sent everyone a link to her snapfish account of her newborn. Honestly, was it necessary to include the pics of the baby with all the gook and blood still on him from the delivery? To me, THAT was gross.
