Gush of fluid early in pregnancy? Has this happened to anyone?

I'm somewhere around 5-6wks. I had 2 betas done; 1067 and then 2104. My progesterone is good at 21something. I got all of my results yesterday. So I think I have a chance to relax, right? Wrong...
I was sitting at my desk today and when I went to stand up I experienced a sudden gush of fluid which I SWORE was AF. I ran to my office bathroom and no AF. The fluid soaked a pantyliner and was a light brown; kind of. It mostly clear with brown mixed in with it I guess. I really can't explain it. My entire liner wasn't brown, if that makes sense. I left work and came home a little early. I then went to the bathroom and saw some tinted, stringy fluid of some sort that absolutely terrified me.
I called my OB right away since I've recently had a m/c. I explained everything and he wants me to call on Monday and try and get in sooner for a sono. Also, I'm going for more blood work as well. Of course, I'm a mess- once again.
Has this happened to anyone? This was the strangest thing to happen to me yet- in either of my pregnancies.

ETA: This all took place around 2:30, nothing since.

Hmmm, it sounds awfully like what I had around the 8 week mark.
I had been spotting since the 6 week mark. Brown blood. But dr said all was fine. Right before my second appt, I woke up at 3 am to pee with some cramping. I was on the toilet for 2 minutes just until the cramping subsided. When I got up, there was all this brown goop in the toilet, including stringy brown stuff. I freaked.
LST, 3 days later was my appt and the little bean was there with a nice heartbeat. The dr saw extra blood in my uterus, a cyst on my ovary AND a second empty sac.
All 3 were possible sources and I have not spotted since (3 weeks later).
I wish you so much luck and just make sure to breathe. It's so scary. But call your dr.

I called my dr. right after it happened. He told me to call back on Monday because he was the only one in the office and all the sono techs had left for the day.
I guess I'm the only freak that this has experienced this  I really hope it was a one time thing.
