if you have ever been on medication to control tachycardia
Can you FM me? I have questions about the medication I am taking for inappropriate sinus tachycardia. I have side effects so I requested that my doctor taper the dose to see if I really need it. He says that it will be all about what is comfortable for me, and that if I can be totally without meds and my heart rate does not go dangerously high, then he supports my decision. He knows me well and he knows that I will realize it and take a fast acting beta blocker if it starts to get bad. He has me carry that with me all the time. So I started to taper and the side effects are gone but my heart rate is erratic. I had a bad episode in yoga class today. I knew that starting yoga while stopping meds would be tough but I was so determined to FINALLY do both. Well, the rapid heart rate started before we were even doing anything. That is why they consider my tachycardia to be "inappropriate." It is not necessarily a normal body response. My heart rate is not high all the time. It never was. It just went up at inappropriate times, like when I was at my desk sitting. I have some questions about discontinuing medication or possibly trying another. My doctor has actually answered the same questions over and over again so I hate to call. So now I ask Dr. LIF .
