first dr. visit??

I was just wondering, what did they do at your first visit? Mine is at what I think will between 8 and 9 weeks...I'm just not sure what to expect? Did yours include a sonogram?

Mine did. Lots of medical history conversation and that sort of intro stuff.

i was 7 weeks 4 day at my first apt.
they did an internal sono and got to see the little nugget and saw its little heart beat. they also took blood and after the exam just spoke with the doctor and she gave us a break down of what to expect at each apt...what not to eat and gave us a booklet explaining evverything

I hope they do a sono. I was told by a friend that she didnt get one until 20 weeks...how do they know if everything is okay if they dont do one until 20 weeks?

Every doctor works differently but most likely you will have a sono at your first visit to give you a more accurate due date and to check the heart beat. My son is 4 now but I had a sono with him at my first visit which was about 8 weeks. I am currently 6 weeks with my second and am scheduled for my first visit @ 7 weeks 2 days. I will be having a sono as well. Good luck to you
