Is anyone else's child scared of the oddest things?
Because mine is!
First of all, her favorite movies are the Wizard of Oz, the Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline. So, as far as things that I thought would spook a child go, she's not scared of any of that stuff.
What IS she scared of?
A stupid book we have about a dog that goes to the beach for the day and gets pinched on the nose by a crab She's terrified of a crab pinching her, now Strange child I have.
She's also afraid of having a towel hang on the back of her door to dry at night on the hook.
So, is anyone else's kid scared of the oddest things?

My DD ( she's not my school age one  ) is afraid of hair/lint balls
If she see's a dust bunny, or a piece of hair on the floor it's all over
DS....I'll have to think about it ....

FLIES! if we have a fruit fly in the house it's all over! mean while he loves bees , spiders, beatles and any other nasty creepy crawly or flying bug.
i'm cool with it though.....i HATE ladybugs!!!

My DS (7) has been afraid of Piranhas ever since he saw the trailer for Piranha on tv one night.
Funny thing is he is NOT afraid of the normal sized ones but is afraid of ones that might be monster sized. During the summer he refused to sleep with the window open because he was afraid of them coming through the window.
We don't even live near water.

My son is 5. He is the roughest, wildest , most BOYISH rough and tumble boy you can imagine, but he's afraid of the book A Bad Case of Stripes. If he even sees the cover he freaks out. He has run screaming out of Barnes and Noble more than once.

Aly is terrified of flies too! But yet watched ghostbuster the movie and loved it.

My DD is afraid of sitting on those toilets that flush automatically! Unfortunately, that's all they have at her school so she tries to avoid going all day!!!
