Hmmm define "CHILDLESS"
I am a stepmother of two but no children of my own yet with DH. So, do I classify as Childless? Just curious, no judgment either way.

You are a stepmom --- so by nature the word "mom" is attached to your name so I wouldn't say you are CF. Your SKs are still very much a part of your life, definitely doesn't seem CF to me.

It makes you a childless parent. 
It depends if they live with you, but either way , there are certain things you would still have in common with those of us who are CF.

haha This is what I was thinking. The "parent" but without all that glory lol I was just curious. I always considered myself "childless" but i've helped raise two great kids so .... It just made me curious what everyone else thought.

Ask someone with a bio kid.
They will sneer at you.
Trust me.
I go through this a lot.
It's a lonely place sometimes.
Bio Moms say you are childless
and women without kids say you are not childless.
HOWEVER my Stepkids say I am not childless and that is ALL that counts to me!!!!!!

They sneer because if you don't push it out, you are not the Mom. I get that. BUT biology is not what makes a Mother. I don;t have a good relationship with my MOm. However, I NEVER EVER over step my boundary with my S-kids' BM. Because of that, she accepts me and includes me. I am lucky.
It's OUTSIDERS that have more opinions.
Jill, it's nice to hear that you would think that. Unfortunately, 80% of stepkids hate their SMs. I am lucky to be in 20%. DAMN lucky. My s-kids are awesome!

adoptive is different, There isn't another Mother...so to speak, You should see some of the SM boards I am on. The ones with bio kids are BRUTAL!

I have nothing but third party experience with it, but I've always felt like that's kids being kids- mostly. Most kids don't even like their biological parents until they are older. Or there's always a possibility of deeper issues- like kids hating their step parents because they feel like they are trying to take the place of their biological parents. But I still would hope the parent would consider the kid one of their own.
At least you're lucky enough to have a good relationship with you stepkids!

I agree. Just because you didn't birth them doesn't mean you're not their parent, and to me, that is not childless.
