Spy Gear Moms...
I stood in the store today debating whether I want my 8 year old to have a watch that secretly records 4 hours of audio, 2000 pics and 2 hours of video. Or a snake cam that can get pics from all angles, around corners etc.
I bought the watch thing bc it was $40, $5-10 cheaper than I've seen elsewhere so far but I'm still on the fence.
Thoughts? If you are giving these items, are you adding a conversation about appropriate use or would you wait to see if the situation presented itself?

We got that watch for DS for Christmas. Right now, he loves recording himself and his sister singing with my camera, but now that you mention it, a discussion about when it is appropriate to use it is probably a good idea before he gets it....

I got the watch for one son and my girlfriend bought one for my other son.
I am okay with it because both my kids are as subtle and sneaky as elephants.
