Gifts to people that work with your child...

I never undertsand why some people work really well with children and others are just there. I have always compensated people that worked well with dd and never looked back. BUT now I sit here and am thinking about how non existent her dance teacher is. Her dance school is fabulous but she is just emotionless and drabby. Shes a young girl who is less then interactive with the kids and her only focus is being serious about them doing the steps perfect. I dont know I am tossed on this one this yr. Would you still give the normal gifts that you would for her fabulous soccer coach or preschool teachers that put in alot of effort or would you reverse it and make this ones less?

I gift people that go above & beyond the norm.

If a dance teacher put a lot of effort into helping my dd, I would give her a gift. If she is just doing her job, I wouldn't.

Also there is a difference between a dance teacher & a soccer coach - one is volunteer.
