Holyyyyyyyy Cookie dough!!!!
DD's dance school did a fundraiser for cookie dough. OMG, dh just brought in 2 huge cartons of big round cookie dough containers. So basically, what am I to do with all of this beforeits gets to the appropriate people? It doesnt need to be refrigerated? would seem odd to me. Some people I wont even see til next week due to thanksgiving. poorly planned thats for sure.

Re: Holyyyyyyyy Cookie dough!!!!
Oh boy! My kids just brought home a cookie dough fundraiser !! I would assume it doesn't have to be refrigerated?? Seems weird to have a fundraiser where the items would need to be cold!

I'm sure they've also been sitting in the lobby at the school for at least a day, obviously not refrigerated/frozen.

Re: Holyyyyyyyy Cookie dough!!!!
We had one too and had about 4 boxes of tubs to distribute. We kept it in the car until we could bring it to everyone

Re: Holyyyyyyyy Cookie dough!!!!
I finally took a look at my kids cookie dough fundraiser and here's what is said about the dough:
Cookie dough comes in a resealable tub or preportioned box. Cookie dough can be refrigerated for 6 months or frozen for a year and is shelf stable at room temperature for 21 days. Cookie dough may be thawed and refrozen..."
is all I can think of after reading that!

Re: Holyyyyyyyy Cookie dough!!!!
Who's bright idea was this fundraiser? That needs to be refrigerated or people are going to get REALLY sick after using it. In addition, it is odd to have children sell items that can potentially harbor serious bacteria if not cooked thoroughly or refrigerated. The school would get an earful from me, I would have refused to have my child participate b/c it is a ridiculous idea.
eta- I just saw that it said 21 days. What is this dough made of? Gross.
Either way, I think it's a bad idea and would have voiced my opinion over it.
