Catering for Baptsim--- ideas?
Hey all, we are planning for our newborn's Baptism celebration. However, we're really strapped for cash. We were thinking of getting a catering company that will provide everything (food, chairs, etc). to set-up at our house? We think this might be cheaper than going to an actual catering hall.
Know a good reasonable companies? Or reasonable restaurant for brunch- maybe $10-12 per person?
Also, what's a good favor?

Restaurant wise you could look in to a chinese buffet, I know the one in Hicksville on Old country road has a private room and they are probably in the range you posted. Or there is an Italian restaurant in Merrick, Rana's that I remeber had a reasonable price package for showers ($14) so they might work too.
As far as all the rental stuff, with chairs, tables, food, I think your looking at more than a restaurant in the end. What we used to do when we had parties was cater the food and went to this small church up the block and they would allow us to rent their chairs and tables for a VERY reasonable fee. I can get you the church info, its in East Meadow.
