scholastic warehouse sale

the deer park one starts tomorrow. i haven't been to one in YEARS! Are they still worth it? How big are the crowds (shouldn't be bad on a weekday morning, right?). do i have to bring ID?

I always go. I almost always go at night, and it's not bad at all, slight lines. I made the mistake of going on a Saturday once, and the line to pay wrapped around the building, so never again would I go on a Saturday.

I would think if you went on a Weekday morning, it would be empty.

As for ID, usually you fill out the fast pass thing on the email and print out the 10 dollar off coupon, so you dont' need to bring ID. If you don't have the coupon, they sometimes try to get you to fill out the form there, so you might need the ID then.

I've never had to bring ID- I always bring the fast cart pass/coupon.

I don't live on LI- I've been to the one in New Rochelle, at a hotel. It was decent. But nothing compares to the Danbury warehouse- I have spent hours at that one! I don't know if the LI ones are at hotels or the Scholastic warehouses- but if you have time and are so inclined the Danbury one is worth the trip IMO.

i went this morning and it wasn't bad at all. deer park is a huge warehouse so it was good. most things were 50% off. people were going nuts for the fill the box offer, but I didn't care for the selections there. it was really empty during the day.
