Gift help from the teachers please!
A group of friends and I are doing a secret santa and I chose one of my teacher friends (she teaches 3rd grade). She's into tons of stuff totally unrelated to work but I wanted to get your perspective.
Would you prefer that someone concentrate on giving you something that was geared toward your hobbies or teacher-centric?
If you prefer a work related gift, can you tell me what you'd like to receive? We set a $25 limit but I'm cool with going over.
I ask because I know that teachers tend to spend a lot of their own money on their classroom so I didn't know if a gc to an educational supply store would be a sucky gift.
Thanks for any advice!!

For me, it would depend on how long she was in the profession. Someone just a year or two into it would probably love stuff school related, like a g/c to a teacher store or b&n. But for someone several years into it, she might have everything she needs and prefer something for HER, like a mani/pedi or g/c to dinner or the movies.

Non-work related gift! I've been teaching 7 years and I have way too many teacher related gifts from my students like mugs and ornaments that I don't need at all.
