Need a vacation suggestion please!!
FH and I are getting married in Feb. We just bought and gutted a house and are paying for a pretty big wedding ourselves. Needless to say we can't afford a grand honeymoon. However we would like to do something for 4-5 days during presidents week.... any suggestions? THANKS!

Congratulations on the house and upcoming wedding! Hmmm...that's a toughy because Presidents Week is high season and it will be expensive! For 4 - 5 days maybe Key West? Or, if the frigid cold doesn't bother you, how about Montreal/Quebec? I've been there with my family during Presidents Week and although cold, it was beautiful. Lots of great restaurants, shopping and quaint inns and boutique hotels.

Thank you! I know we are picking the worst week to go on a honeymoon, but I'm a teacher so my vacation during the year is limited. I was actually thinking about both those spots. I'm leaning towards Montreal, never been and neither has FH. thanks for responding.

If you're looking for something a little warmer what about New Orleans or maybe the Florida Keys?

If the cold doesn't bother you, there's a stunning inn in PA called Glasbern Inn. It is a 100 acre working farm and the rooms are to die for! Very romantic. We stayed in the gatehouse, which is a two level suite with the second floor occupied only by a huge jacuzzi. most of the food is straight from the farm so very fresh and breakfast is included in the rate. We paid about $250/night for our room but there are lower and higher categories. Dinner on property is expensive but worth it.
