Size help pls

We have a $15 grab bag for the kids on my mom's side. Looking at this or something similar for a 7-yr old girl on the husky side. What size should I get?
Thank you!

Re: Size help pls

I know you didn't ask this, but my good friend has a 7 year old DD who in't "large" but bigger then some of the other girls in her class. She already feels uncomfortable about her body/weight....
My friend would NEVER buy her something with horizontal stripes on it. I would look for something more flattering if she is on the husky side.

I don't think this style of shirt/sweater will be flattering on a husky girl. Esp. with the horizontal stripes, and the empire waist will accentuate any belly. I would honestly not get clothes at all. Maybe a cute pair of earrings/necklace from Claires or Justice.

Re: Size help pls

My DD is 9(almost 10) she is a pretty solid kid and tall for her age too. She wears a 10/12 which I believe is a large.

ETA: I too agree that this style(especially the cut at the waist) will NOT be flattering on a husky girl. My DD would not look good in that and I would not call her husky, just solid.

I recently bought this sweater for DD at Justice with a tank top for underneath and it is her favorite sweater right now and looks great on her. I used the 40% off coupon that I printed out online

Re: Size help pls

Thank you all. I looked at pics of her again (thank god for FB LOL) and she isn't really big - just not tiny, KWIM? I actually have only met her once (she is my cousin's new stepdaughter and they live OOS) but I will ck out other suggestions!

Re: Size help pls

Hmmmn...I know you only posted asking about sizes not opinions but I have to agree about getting clothes for her, especially after you said you have not met her in person yet. I think the top is adorable but clothes are very subjective for many girls even at that age. I'd go with something non-size related and not have to worry about them exchanging it if it doesn't fit.
