Do you RSVP to a kid's party that you are not able to attend?
What is the appropriate etiquette?
Do you call a classmate's parents to tell them your child isn't able to attend the party....
Or do you RSVP only if you are attending?

I always RSVP that we are not coming....
The only time I will not RSVP is if we are going and the invite says Regrets Only.

Re: Do you RSVP to a kid's party that you are not able to attend?
If it just says RSVP, then you would let them know if you are coming or if you cannot attend.
If it says RSVP Regrets Only, then you only call if you cannot attend.

Re: Do you RSVP to a kid's party that you are not able to attend?
I always let them know. That way, they can check our names off the list. There's nothing worse than trying to guess if the 10 people who didn't respond aren't coming, waiting until the last minute, going to call after the RSVP date and say "Sorry, we misplaced the invite until today", etc. Just makes it less stressful for the parents.

RSVP either way
Me too, It always frustrates me when people don't b/c I have no idea how much food to prepare or goody bags if I'm having it at home. If its at a place they usually need a headcount before.
