Haven't had a stupid comment thrown at me in a while, thought i'd share

I put a smiley icon next to the topic cause I just have to giggle. It's been quite a long time since someone gave me the typical 'kid' comment. So here goes, enjoy!

At a holiday party last night. Not relatives of mine, sorta inlaws of my brother's (he's not married yet or even engaged).
Topic got to pets.
The Mother ( to me and dh) "Oh you guys need either kids or a dog!"

dh and I just look at each other, stifle a laugh at her ridiculousness and we just gave a polite chuckle. My parents were sitting there too, but know better than to go there so they said nothing.

I being told what I need! I really need a shoebox of fifties, help a sister out lady.

I woulda said why? Out lives are fullfilled right now.

I think it's just old school way of thinking. But it is laughable.

People are weird to think your lives must not be fulfilled if you are not taking care of another living being.

But I did chuckle at their suggestions -- baby or dog.
