Introducing my baby girl!
Hi girls!
My DD was born 12/2/10! Her name is Kaleigh (pronounced Kaylee) Marie, and she weighed 8 pounds exactly and was 19.5 inches long. My c-section was scheduled this time and it was a very different experience from my first (non-scheduled) c-section. I actually walked myself into the operating room! The spinal block worked great and I never even knew when they made the first cut. With my first c-section it was after 39 hours of labor and the epidural was wearing off on my right side, and I felt the OB cutting into me! But this time, it was great. The recovery was as painful for me as I remembered, getting out of bed for the first time was terrible! I am 15 days PP and moving around a lot easier now.
I had an anterior placenta and complete placenta previa during this pregnancy. The placenta attached itself to my old c-section incision. I had to get a vertical uterine incision this time because the horizontal incision would have damaged the placenta. At least the different incision is only on the inside though, I still only have one cut showing on the outside. I was worried about the placenta previa, but thankfully everything worked out great! Kaleigh is amazing, she sleeps around 3-4 hours at night in one clip and sleeps all day. She still has her days and nights confused, but she's doing well considering! Ashley loves to be a big sister and cannot stop kissing Kaleigh. I was so worried when I was pregnant- how could I ever love another baby as much as I love Ashley? Well, as soon as I saw Kaleigh, my heart opened up and I found out it is entirely possible to love another baby just as much! Here are a few pictures...

Oddly enough I have a childhood friend.. her first daughter is Ashley and her second is Kaylee (I like your spelling better though).
