Bathing/Drying/Blow Drying (Fur Babies)

For those who have doggies that have fur like poms, poodles, etc.

where do you shower them? in the sink in the tub? and where do you blow dry your fur babies?

When I used to live with my mom before marriage I used to bath my doggies (under 4lbs) in the kitchen sink and blow dry them there.

Now that I am married, I went to bath them in the bathroom and blow dry my doggies there but my husband has an issue with that saying it is disgusting.

I think there are others out there that do the same and its the norm, so my question is,

what do you do?

I bathe my dog in the bathtub.. I only towel dry her though. I think the bathroom is better than the kitchen. I don't see what the big deal would be in the bathroom as long as you clean up afterward.. and your dog is little

Mine take showers with DH in the tub...if my little one rolls around in crap I throw her in the kitchen sink for a quickie...if I use the sink I will do a quick spraydown with some spray bleach cleaner since dishes go in there...don't find anything disgusting about it, but then again our pups also sleep in bed with us...Chat Icon

thanks for your responses.

His issue is that I leave hair because when I comb them I am unable to catch every single hair!!!

and I used to also have them sleep in my bed when I was single (not married) and would not be able to have them on our bed because he would not have that. At least I respect that, but I don't respect his attitude towards where I bathe my dogs.

The problem all starts that I have 1 doggy who is still not potty trained despite all my efforts, so I think his issue starts from here, but I just wanted to make sure I was not abnormal for bathing them in the sink or the tub.

We do it in the kitchen sink. We have no choice. I clorox the sink before and after.

If he has an issue with them being bathed in the TUB or bathroom, where else does he suggest you bathe them?Chat Icon I would much rather do it in the bathroom but it would be too difficult to orchestrate that with my dogs.

eta- there is a place called woofer wash, dont know where you live

he rather I bathe them in the backyard, and now that it's cold he agreed with me showering them in the shower downstairs in the bsmt, but the problem is that the shower does not have any doors and I wind up getting wet, and point blank it's just uncomfortable for me.

Once again thank you for your responses Chat Icon
