it's been a while since i posted but i wanted everyone to know, my uterus is closed for business

after 6 years of marriage, 5 years of miscarriages, 2 failed IVFs, 1 failed donor egg IVF, hair loss, stress, $60,000 and more stress, i just can't do it anymore, no more injections, no more cautious optimism, no more transvaginal ultrasounds :)

we have decided that's the end of the road for us, at least for another few years (i have some frozen embryos that i may use some day, not now)

we have submitted paperwork for adoption

women on this forum who have had constant heartache, don't feel hopeless, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, if you can work it out with your significant others, there are babies out there, alive and well, waiting for people like you and me

I wish you the best of luck in the adoption process. I'm sure that it took a lot of heartache and struggle to reach this point. Even though I'm relatively new to the IF journey (despite almost 2 years of TTC), adoption is something I consider often. You will be a wonderful mother to a very lucky child.

I am so sorry you had to experience all that. I support your decision. The decision you are making is not an easy one, it is difficult, but a courageous one. Do what feels right to you and your family. You are making the biggest unselfish decision of your life. Life is full of opportunity and we are blessed each day with the tools to fulfill our personal dreams .

I am so sorry you had to endure all of that heartache. Congrats to you on your decision to adopt, what a selfless and wonderful thing to do. There is no wrong way to "make" your family. I wish you nothing but joy and happiness, that i am sure your new child will bring. All the best to you, always.

Adoption is a beautiful thing. I have serious major respect for parents who adopt children. there are so many children out there that need loving homes and it's such a good thing to do for a child in need of that.

I wish you luck in your adoption process.... may it be a smooth and short one.

In the end you will have the child you are meant to have, be it your biological child or an adoptive child.

I'm sorry for all you have gone through... but I'm really happy with the path you are on now. Good Luck.
