cookie dough ice cream?
ok yes my butt was eating cookie dough ice cream straight from the container at 10 am.  i only had a few spoons....u think it's ok???

I think that the cookie dough ice cream you buy from the store is made with pasteurized eggs or cooked eggs, so you should be fine!
It's just the cookie dough you make at home with the raw egg that's a problem!

sorry I am no longer prego (DD is 6 mos) and I am crashing the pregnancy board big time today...hope you don't mind.
anyway - I ate cookie dough ice cream throughout my pregnancy.....it was fine. do what you feel comfortable with...maybe have it in moderation.

They'd have to write on the ingredients on the box if the eggs in it were unpasteurized so you should be fine. As long as it's not a home batch.
Enjoy! I love the cake batter ice cream from maggie moo's.  I asked them right after I got PG if they had raw eggs in it and she said no.

the cookie dough they put in icecream does not have eggs in it so it's FINE!! The only cookie dough that's dangerous is the kind you cook with. So enjoy

though I did ask at marble slab and at least two of their ice-creams have raw egg in it but even many raw eggs for mass consumption are flash pasteurized. . I think there is some FDA legislation around this. .
I DEF wouldn't worry about ice cream from the store. . I'd actually be surprised if there was even eggs in their cookie dough

You're fine.
Any egg that is sold in this country, unless you get it straight from a chicken's @ss, is pasteurized.
So if you buy cookie dough or make it at home, it's pasteurized and fine.
But eating raw egg is obviously not recommended, but I made cookies last week and enjoyed the hell out of that dough and I'm still alive.
