Snowblower Recommendations

DH and I have finally decided AFTER this last winter storm, that it is time to purchase a snow blower.

So, we need recommendations and explain why you like it. We see our neighbors using Craftsmen and Touro.

Re: Snowblower Recommendations

Both DH and his friend have a Craftman but every year they have a flat tire (it keeps happening, the tire deflates and apparently it's common) and you can't fix it yourself... SOOOO we have not used our snowblower for the past 3 years. DH's friend has to fix it every year. Just a heads up on this!

My neighbor has a Craftsman and only needed a tune up last year. I think he has it 5 years now. I would call Craftsman and see why this happens.

Re: Snowblower Recommendations

After seeing my poor husband out in the cold for 4 hours shoveling, I caved in and did a bunch of research.

We ended up getting the well-rated Toro 38381 - 1800 Power Curve Electric Snow Blower from amazon.com. It's only $300.

We expect it tomorrow so DH can finish up the rest of the snow removal.

troybuilt is what we have and we have never had an issue

you can buy it at lowes or direct from manufacture and save the sales tax. shipping is free so it usually works out cheaper.

I agree. We use Toro at work and they are really good machines

FIL just got a similar one this year. Power steering, so he just squeezes a trigger, and it turns in that direction.
He told me that he was having trouble getting it to turn in one direction, so he called the Sears help line, and they sent someone to his house, and the guy went over everything until he fixed the problem.
