Humping Cat

Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Recently, in the last week or so, my little 2 year old has started humping only my husband at night.

I did some research and it could be that he wants attention or is trying to assert his dominance.

Any one else go through this? Any tips? We are yelling at him to make him stop and pushing him off but he makes this terrible yowling sound and gets mad at us.

Yes, he was neutered when he was 6 months old, when we got him. He is now 2 and just started this. Chat Icon

Re: Humping Cat

I don't know much about cats but with dogs, your husband would need to show him who's boss. Best way to do that is by controlling valuable items like food and toys.

Re: Humping Cat

I don't think cats can really be discplined like dogs Chat Icon not sure though.. they are creatures of habit.. anyway.. try squirting him with water when you catch.. you can slowly deter him..

Re: Humping Cat

get him a small teddy bear, and when he does it push it in between your dh leg and the cat. my friends cat use to do the same thing and has now stopped it on her leg and to the teddy. She had a rabbit shaped teddy that worked great for him. Good luck! hth
