Holy Molars!!
Do they really cause this much more anguish than the rest of the teeth??
I cannot get over the screaming and how much pain he is in, and I feel awful, that there is just nothing I can do!
On top of it, he is also cutting one of the canines, and he has had on and off high fevers due to a virus, and it just really sux for my poor baby!
How long does this last?

Re: Holy Molars!!
Yeah they do The molars are harder because they're bigger - more surface area to come through and they are not sharp or pointed like incisors and canines... We resorted to Tylenol at night when it was really bad, just to help the little nugget sleep!!! It was overwith pretty quickly but I haaaated hearing him cry; I hope DS feels better soon!

Re: Holy Molars!!
honestly, DS eye teeth seem to be his worst so far. He went through the molars OK, but these eye teeth are so bad. He was up from 3-4am last night just screaming, not even crying. I felt horrible for him

Re: Holy Molars!!
Thank you for your help! Not looking forward to tonight....I just hope these high fevers from this virus subside, and we can just treat the teething.
Thank you again! Happy New Year!

Re: Holy Molars!!
Poor poor guy Have you tried the pedialyte ice pops? DS loves them when he's sick.
It might be the canine giving him the most trouble!

Re: Holy Molars!!
It was bad for 3-4 days until they actually broke through. It was about 3 weeks total for all 4 to come in.

This is the same for my DS. His bottom molars were an annoyance, but his canines are keeping him up at night. I hold him in any and every position to comfort him at night. My poor boy.
Hopefully it's over soon!

Re: Holy Molars!!
for DD, her canines were by far the worst so far. molars were hard, but nothing compared to the canines. the waking up screaming, the crying. it was awful. she also got all 4 canines at once. i can definitely wait for 2nd year molars.
