Am I the only parent that didn't tell their kid it was New Year's Eve and but them to bed at regular time!!!

After 1 week of no school, constant whinning and fighting, I put mine to bed....and I don't feel guilty.....not even a little!

My big boy wasn't feeling too great, he fell asleep at 8 and we didnt wake him up....We'll celebrate at 12 tommorrow afternoon

We had company & Gracie was up a little bit late but basically at regular time...I kissed them both at midnight but they were asleep. Today we're celebrating w/ my parents & we have special "champagne" for her to have (sparkling apple cranberry cider).

My son is 6, dd is 3 and this is the first year I did not do this. I guess I am screwed fr ever now...cause now they know.

Nope, I didn't even mention NYE to Ava. Off to bed she went. I honestly cannot wait for school to start again!

Nope....i've never let DD1 stay up...she's 5 and was in bed at 8 as usual. Actually...even though she's been on vacation all week there was only 1 night that I let her stay up til 9....

Nope...They knew it was New Year's eve but didn't know that people usually stay up. They went to bed around 9:30pm, a little later than usual because there's no school.

I'm so excited that school is starting on Monday. Back to our regular routine.

Nope, my kids were in bed asleep by 8pm and so were DH and I. We were both really sick but even if we weren't we would probably have been home or at my parents house and they would have went to bed way before 12am. They are too little (IMO) still and we would pay for it the next day in cranky children.

My 8 year old stayed up and my 4 year old made a valiant effort but at about 11:50, he was out. He couldn't keep his eyes opened anymore. I even tried to wake him to see the ball drop-no luck.

We were never into partying on NYE, even before kids... always stayed home and DH is always in bed hours before midnight

DC's were in bed the regular time 7pm.

I learned, no matter what time they go to bed, they are still up between 5:30 and 6 am so regular bed time it is.

They knew it was NYE but I didn't let them stay up. They would have been unbearable today if they didn't get enough sleep. Plus my DH was working so it was just me and the kids.

They knew it was NYE but didn't ask to stay up, we went to my brothers house, had a pre-new years at 9:30pm and we went home (5 minutes away) and they went to bed. :)

DS is 8. He knew it was New Years but I still but him to bed at his regular bed time. He didn't care. He was tired anyway. If we were having a gtg or something then I would have allowed him to stay up if he wanted too.

Genius. It never occurred to me to do that. We have counted down to 8:30pm through. Man I miss the days when they couldn't tell time.

We went out. My 7 yr. old went to bed a little after 10 and my 12 yr. old was still up when we got home a little after 1:00.

DS (7) stayed up with us, but DD (4) went to bed at the usual time.

I told them it was NYE, and that they could party with Nonna (as I kissed them goodnight & goodbye ).

She let them stay up later than normal, but they were both asleep by 10pm.

poor DD's world must have been rocked this AM because she had to get up at normal time. I let her stay up late all week since we had company most of the time. NYE she was up until 130. She was SHOT on NYD!

I let my older girls stay up, they were so excited. Miranda fell asleep at...11:54. She was mad when she woke up, but her sister was thrilled that she finally beat her at something

Bella went to bed late because we were at my Dad's....but she had no idea we stayed up and partied the night away....until she found some party hats and noisemakers and told me I had some "explaining to do"
