If you got pregnant by IUI?

How did you conceive #2? I suppose it depends on why you were having IUIs in the first place. Not trying soon but would like to come up with a game plan for our next DC. Just curious if you had to try on your own before going back or if you got lucky the second time around.

Didn't have #2 yet but we have been discussing it and I know I have to go back to the RE. If I do get preggers on my own I run a high risk of a miscarriage if I am not monitored or on the proper meds. So we will be going back for IUIs

DS was the result of a medicated IUI. He was conceived our 1st cycle. We have been talking about TTC #2 and I too wonder about how to approach it. DH seems to think that we shouldn't bother to try on our own, that we should just go straight to the RE. He also likes the idea of the sperm being washed since only the healthiest sperm are then used (sometimes I wonder if he has a point). But, me, I'm not sure. Sometimes I just want to try the "regular" way but the reality is that I've already thought about when to schedule a consult with the RE in preparation for TTC later in the year.

DD was conceived via IUI (1st round) I have PCOS and some other issues. Had a m/c then moved on to an RE.

this pregnancy was a complete surprise and came just 6 months after DD was born! I was told it would be pretty hard for me to conceive on my own.
Apparently it wasn't THAT hard

DS was Clomid/IUI ( 3rd IUI cycle)

IUI's did not work for us the 2nd time around and DD was conceived with IVF....

Baby # 3 was a frozen embryo transfer

1st pregnancy was IUI (2nd try)

Currently pg with DC#2 and it was a surprise pregnancy!

IUI was because of male factor infertility. We were not trying for #2. It really was a miracle that it happened though!

3rounds of iui before got BFP for DS #1. Preggo with #2 naturally on first try.

We got pregnant on our third IUI and it was also male factor infertility. I am just wondering if we should even bother trying on our own when the time comes. As tough as it was, I think I would rather just go back to the RE and get it over and done with.

DD # 1 was conceived thru IUI. I did 6 rounds of medicated IUI's and got pregnant with her on my last IUI cycle before I would have had to move onto IVF. I started seeing an RE because I had 3 miscarriages before DD #1.

DD #2 was a surprise. We weren't trying or preventing, but never thought we could get pregnant on our own.

I am now pregnant with #3. We were trying this time and got pregnant the first month.
