Re: celiac
My friend has this and leads a completely normal life...as of just recently there are TONS of gluten-free food products out there, I've seen them in Shop & Stop even, in the health food section.
HTH!

Re: celiac
Many restaurants, including pizza, have gluten free items on their menus now, too.

My bff has it too, as does one of her sons (unofficially) and they are living totally normally. There are tons of websites and resources too- she was diagnosed about 8 or 9 yrs ago. I have heard so much more about it since then.

Re: celiac
while DS is not celiac, we tried a GF diet for attention/focus issues.
I actually have a pot on food about it, but Wild By Nature and Value Drugs in Huntington have good selections. My secretary who has celiac's told me there is a bakery behind WBN that sells GF bread.
I also went to Fairway and found a decent amount of food.
Most food is GF, just have to watch carbs...Rice chex cereal is GF, rice, potatoes, oats (although I think I saw that Cheerios has some wheat flour in it).
