a small vent
I have the worst AF cramps I've had since going off BCP last June. They WOKE ME UP at 3:50 this morning. DH was getting up for work 10 mins later and got up to find me crying in the bathroom. He felt so bad, he's like what can I do? I asked him to shoot me, but he refused. They're starting in again right now, I can't take it I guess i'm lucky that i can lay down as opposed to being in my office today.

Re: a small vent
aww you poor Bear Do you take anything for it?? I pop Advil like candy and get a hot water bottle and put it on my belly. If DH is home, I'll ask him to sit on me or even put my chunky cat on me

Mine are always severe. I take advil round the clock and a heating pad helps too! Good luck!

Re: a small vent
I used to have horrible cramps. I took Naproxen and then used a heating pad and usually within 15 minutes or so they were at least bearable is they were still there. Feel better!

Re: a small vent
I like to use a herbal heat pack that I put in the microwave. I find that burning my stomach with it distracts me from AF cramps!

Re: a small vent
I will fill up a soda bottle with scorching hot water and put it right between my legs... like bottle against vag...
It feels better.
Also, it helps for me to sit on the toilet, I dont know why.
I'd say TMI, but ***... no one cares.

Re: a small vent
you and I had the same cycle this month and I have the WORST cramps too! I've actually had them for the last week, that's why I thought maybe this was my month because I never get cramps like this
hope you feel better soon! I've been taking advil but it doesn't seem to help

OMG i can't believe you just said that, the only thing that was helping me feel better in the wee hours of the morning was sitting on the toilet! like so much so that i even went to the upstairs bathroom when dh had to shower and get ready for work. my theory - it takes pressure off the uterus...

Re: a small vent
This might be the wrong advice because you're TTC but painkillers are the only thing that help me when I have cramps like this. If you have any lying around, try em.

Re: a small vent
Same thing happened to me when I went off. I try to take advil at the slightest sign of them and then stay on it for a day or so.
Also, I have found that caffeine makes them worse.
