Am I crazy?
I never had a dog before Molly but I swear - she is sitting on my lap as I type this - and I NEVER in a million years would have thought that I could love a DOG so much? I never got it before I had her and thought animal people were crazy for the way they spoke about their pets. Now I look at this little furball and can't imagine her not in my life.
DH and I talk about if we will have enough love to give a second pet - but I guess they are just like children - you love them all sooooo much.
Sorry - just got mushy for a second there.

I was the same exact way with Casey - I never believed that I could love anything or anyone as much as I love her.
Now I just hope that when the baby comes that she doesn't not become jealous and she doesn't want quality time with Mommy anymore. Every tells me she will be fine - I guess we will see.

DH and I were talking about this subject this weekend.
He is like a child to us. I realized he's going to be 4 years old this year and I got all choked up - where has the time gone???
He's so lovable and snuggable, that you just can't imagine things without him!!

I feel the same way about my little Tyson, I'm looking at him now all curled up in the middle of the dining room sleeping and it just makes my heart melt, I love him so much....

My Rocky is my first dog and I love him like a child I cook for him play with him and take him every where he is so spoiled but I cant help it and my hubby is the same way especially since hes home with him all day.....

I too never imagined how much I would love Lola. Everyday she amazes me more and more.
I could not believe how much I missed her when I went to aruba. I literally cried a few times! I rented a cell phone there and called my mom 3 times a day to check on her.
I actually had butterflies when we were landing because I was so excited to see her!
Ok I prob sound crazy now...so I'll stop!

I know exactly how you feel! I never had a dog before and once we got Denver, I swear I became a better person. Another bonus is that DH works nights. I used to be so lonely but now, I am genuinely happier at night because I have my babies around. I am often overwhelmed by how much I love Denver & Holden. One of the cutest things in the world is seeing DH with them or hearing him talk about them and realizing he loves them just as much!

I know what you mean. After my Regi was put to sleep(he was 14) I felt that I could never love another pet as much as I loved him. But I do. My cats are my babies. I love them to death. BOth are so special and sweet.
Growing up, I was a dog person, not a cat person. I did not think that cats could be so loving. My dom and oreo have totally changed my feelings on that.
I read somewhere that a person will always have one pet that will always stand out. To me that will be my Regi. But I love my cats just as much as I loved him!!!

I have always been a huge dog person but after my family got Rocky I was stunned at the unconditional love I have for him. I feel its like motherly instinct or something to just wanna protect him and care for him.
My parents treat him like a son. My mother is still afraid of dogs. She thinks of Rocky as a son not animal
