5 year old birthday party
My daughter is turning 5 in April. Does anyone have any reco on where to have her bday party that is inexpensive. We live in East Meadow. I have about 25 kids ranging from ages 3-10. Affordability is key since I have so many kids (and parents) attending.

Re: 5 year old birthday party
bowling alley parties seem to be the cheapest, and they're perfect for all ages. There are 3 year olds on my dd's school bowling league and even they look like they're having a blast. I'd call your local alley and get a price quote.

Re: 5 year old birthday party
The most affordable party I have had for a large number of kids is a movie theater party at Merrick Cinemas. They even allow parents and siblings for free. Although I suppose if you overdo the siblings, they will start charging so I limited how many people I told to bring their other children. The party includes 25 kids. There's no food except unlimited popcorn & drinks but it's an AM party and they let you bring your own so I did juices, homemade muffins & coffee boxes from Dunkin Donuts and had a cake after. My favorite party I've done for my kids, it was reasonable too, $350 IIRC, more if it was 3D. And they give you a family pass to use another time too.

We did a bowling party when DD#1 was 5 and we had 22 kids and some adults too. It still cost us over $500

We did Gold Medal Gym. It is ~ $260 for 12 kids and $13 each extra - you have to bring in your own food and drinks.

wow..last year my cousin had a bowling party, there were at least 5 lanes full of kids, pizza and drinks for the kids and a small platter for adults and I believe she said it was like $200. but it was at a local bowling alley. I looked into a party at 300 in Melville and that was close to a $1000 when everything was all said and done. That's why I said to check the smaller local alley's first.

Re: 5 year old birthday party
My friend had a party for her DD at a karate place and it included up to 30 kids or something like that I think? They charhed a flat rate not like a lot of these places that are $25 a head once you go over the 10 kids.

Re: 5 year old birthday party
I'm not sure how much it would cost but my daughter went to a classmates party at Sportsplex and all the kids had a blast. They had different sports led by employees and if you have different age groups maybe they can split them up so that the very young kids do one thing while the older ones can do something else. They had pizza (not sure if it was included or they brought it in) and desserts. Maybe you can look into it....

I also live in East Meadow and have a little girl who will be 5. She will go to Barnum Woods. We are doing an all girls party at my house. We have a Spa girl party coming to the house. The price is not bad either.

Yep, I paid under 300 and the only thing they were going to charge extra for is if they needed more pizza. I had like 25 kids I think.
