ground hogs day...........again......
Got my AF Wednesday, so last IUI on clomid did not work....have an appointment with RE next Tuesday to discuss next phase...I think he is going to suggest IUI with injectables....
If anyone can share their good, the bad and the ugly stories about what i can expect with this new phase, it would be greatlly appreciated...
I am so numb and sad at this point, I just dont understand why good people like all of us just can't get pregnant like everyone else......

Re: ground hogs day...........again......
I am sorry you are feeling so down.
I have done 2 IUI's with Clomid and 1 with injectables, so I can only really speak from my experience.
The injections weren't as bad as I thought it would be. I also posted my questions, concerns and fears and what the majority of the women said was true. The first shot is the worst because of all the anxiety built up, but after it's done the next couple of shots become almost second nature. Even my husband, who is the biggest P with needles, gave me my last shot. The needles are so small that you hardly feel it, it is more like a pinch and then it is done. Make sure you pinch the skin, I didn't pinch for the 2nd shot and that one did hurt a little. Also, I don't know if this happened to anyone else, but after the first shot I must have gotten up to quickly that I got a little lightheaded. So after that I remained lying down for about 10 mins (I honestly milked it, b/c 5 mins would have been more than enough )
I hope this helps and honestly everyone has different experiences. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask. Good luck on your next cycle!

I have never done IUIs, but the injections aren't bad at all. Once you start doing them, they just become part of a routine.
Stay hopeful for next cycle.

Re: ground hogs day...........again......
im sorry this cycle didnt work but clomid is really just the tip of the iceberg as far as IF treatment goes.
injectables are a little more maintenance then clomid. you have to be monitored closely cause the risk of developing too many follies is much higher than with clomid. injectables are unpredictable in that you may respond one way one cycle and differently the next.
the shots themselves are not such a big deal once you get over the first one. they really dont hurt much and they dont take much time. IMO they have less side effects than pills like clomid. the worst side effect is usually bloating, in my experiences i didnt have much other side effects from the drugs directly.
its really not that bad. hang in there!!

you would go in when you get AF (generally CD3 but ive gone anywhere CD1-5) and you pretty much start that day. the length of time depends on your response. its different for everyone. its not clomid where you get the pill for 5 days and see what happens. generally youd do a few injects and then go in to see how its working.

I agree with this. The injections are really not a big deal at all. You will be fine- and it's what got me pregnant once before!

Re: ground hogs day...........again......
im in the same boat as you.... i have a discussion monday with my RE to discuss next steps.
im probablly going to get lap surgery then the following month is my last iui covered by insurance
ill probably go to injectibles after the surgery
for those that did this, what were the injectible side effec s?

injectables IMO have less side side effects than pills. the pills have to break down through your digestive system and contain a lot more additives than injectables do. the injectables are much purer meds and they go directly to where they need to go and don't have to travel through your whole bloods stream so they produce less side effects. for me the #1 side effect was bloating.

I'm sorry you have been unsuccessful so far I have only ever done injectibles and for IUIs I had no side effects at all. The shots don't really seem to bother me other than having to be home at a certain time and keeping to the routine.
Good luck
