clomid girls *update*
so i'm 14dpiui--no AF, bfn. i have to wait for my beta tomorrow. i think you girls know that every day is an eternity in the 2WW!
what's really got me stumped is that my normal LP is 12 days. last month (first cycle on clomid) the clomid shortened my LP. this cycle, i'm already 2 days past my normal LP. can clomid affect your LP inconsistently like that where it changes month to month? i always thought the LP was the one part of your cycle that stayed the same.
update: beta was negative. i'm out. onto the 3rd cycle of clomid + IUI and a consult on 2/16 to talk about the next step if it doesn't work this time.
i really just don't get it...

Re: clomid girls
Are you on any progesterone? That can delay AF

Re: clomid girls
no progesterone. all i took this cycle was the clomid cd3-7, a few days of estrogen before the trigger to thicken my lining, and then the hsg trigger.

Re: clomid girls
I'm actually not sure then because I've never used clomid What I do know though is typically my LP is the same every cycle, regardless of my protocol.

Re: clomid girls
of the 48 people who looked at this, no one has taken clomid and can comment on whether their luteal phase changed or stayed the same?

Re: clomid girls: please respond
I did 3 cycles of clomid. None of them helped me create a half way decent follie. AF never came because I didn't ovulate.
Personally, I would go in for the beta and ask them to do bloodwork to confirm ovulation.

thank you for responding
i was being monitored at the time so i know that i produced many follies, 3 of them that were a great size when they triggered.
been on the fence about going for the beta because i woke up with some heavy spotting this morning. i'll prob go anyway tho since this LP has been so weird...

If you triggered, and got a BFN, you should still go in for the beta. Could have a late implanter. GL & keep us posted!

Re: clomid girls: please respond
I took clomid 3-7 twice. it increased my LP from 10 to 13 days on both occasions. i also took progesterone by itself month ago and it didnt do anything so i know it is the clomid.
so in other words, two times in a row, clomid changed my LP, but changed it consistently by increasing it 3 days

Re: clomid girls: please respond
I have taken clomid 5 times and triggered so I knew when I O'd and noticed that my LP varied by a day or two each month. It may be that your body is adjusting to the medicine and ovulation may have occurred later than normal. HTH!
Good luck!!

your prob right. the nurse practitioner i talked to said that clomid does mess with the LP and that it can be inconsistent month to month.
