Dr. Robert Dean in Garden City

Just wondering if anyone on here goes to him or has any experience with him?

I want to deliver at South Nassau, and the doctor I'm going to now mostly delivers at Wynthrop, and I'm not really sure about him anyhow... I called South Nassau, and Dr. Dean was recommended to me.

Just wondering if anyone has any advice??

TIA

Re: Dr. Robert Dean in Garden City

He WAS my doctor... i wont go in to all the details... because its just a very long story...

but my experience was great up until I actually needed his support... he diagnosed me with an ectopic pregnancy and barely paid attention to me after that...

as long as your pregnancy is going ok he seems like a great doc... id never recommend him... Someone else on LIF told me the same thing about her experience with him as well

Re: Dr. Robert Dean in Garden City

I used him and he was wonderful. He has madonna sono in office which makes it very convienient. He never missed one of my appointments.

I was diagnosed with cholesasis and he was very on top of it (he called RE on me while i was in the room, was sent to RE for a second opinion, blood work weekly, nsts 2x a week).

I was induced.he checked on me several times. When babies HR was dropping he stood with us and watched and monitored me. He ended up calling a c/s before it became an emergency. He did an excellent job.

There will never be a dr that someone didnt have a problem with somewhere along the road.everyones interpretation of jow people resond to things is different. You have to find someone who works for you. For me the bottom line was having a dr who was great!

I do not have him - I have another Dr that delivers at SN (who I will not recommend). I plan on switching to him once I deliver and am done with my Dr.
