Need Advice!
Hello Ladies! I am new to the site and was just wondering if I could have some advice. I use to be in shape before I had my girls two years ago. I was put on bedrest before I had them and just have been lazy ever since
My weight disguist me and I feel absolutly no motivation. I have gotten into such bad habits that I need to change. I want to join weight watchers and start working out. I hate the gym. I find it boring. I was a college athlete that likes more competitive athletic activites. I am going to join a gym. My question is.....I want to also do kickboxing. I think kickboxing might tap into my competitive nature. So, should I join the gym first for awhile before I start kickboxing? I am afraid I am just so out of shape that I will look foolish. I am about fifty pounds from my college softball weight. What do you think?

I know the gym I just joined has kick boxing and boxing classes. Not sure if all do though!

I would start with some cardio classes to get yourself geared up for kickboxing. If you aren't going to use the gym in terms of equipment and just do classes (that's really all I like) then you may be better off just finding a class you'll enjoy and not neccesarily joining a gym. I take zumba and it's a fun, good cardio workout. You can pay as you go (I think it's $12 a class) or buy a class card ($100 for 10 classes.) That way you won't be paying for things you're not using. Then once you feel like you're in slightly better shape, you can look for a gym that specifically does boxing or kickboxing.
