pregnant or just fat??

I gained some weight before my BFP... so I had some extra padding than normal on my stomach. I can't tell what's from the fat and what's from baby???

Also, I can still bend and sit just the same as before I was pregnant.... when did your movements become more limited??

I just took some pics of my stomach with my cell... I'll work on posting them.

what's odd is, in some pics I look bigger and others smaller...but they were all from the same mini shoot I just took.

Clearly I look pregnant now but when I thought I first started showing, I thought I just looked fat. I also gained weight before my BFP, around 10 lbs or so (what can I say, I ate my way through Spain!) I just wanted to be over that hump of "geez, that girl is frumpy." I bought maternity wear early on to help people figure it out.

My movements started to become more and more limited after 20 weeks. I now have no movement and it takes me minutes just to get out of bed. You have to calculate your moves. It's crazy.

Yes, some angles you will look bigger and some smaller. It's weird. The one I have at my 16 week picture in my album was chosen by my DH because I looked the most pregnant! As if I wouldn't 16 weeks later

BTW, very cute baby belly. I can totally tell.

I def had to buy maternity clothes... a few weeks ago. I couldn't take the walking around with my pants open anymore. And I figured it would help me feel better about not looking just "is she fat or what?".... it worked... but I still feel kinda like that in between stage. And being able to still do everything normally makes me think... hmmm maybe it is the fat and not the baby. I mean I can get on the floor and crawl around... sit with my knees up.... sit any way really.
So it is helpful for me to know your movements didn't really start being limited until 20 weeks.

I can't wait until my appt on Thursday! Dr Goldstein! I have my fingers crossed that I get a sono... but IDK. eeeekkk!!

Yes, I'm up all night! Everyone seems to turn back into pumpkins before midnight!

I think I bought maternity jeans at 10 weeks and the rest came shortly after. I lost weight before I got married but still kept my bigger clothes, so I got away with wearing those clothes for a while.

Ah yes, the 21st!!! I really hope you like him. They have been nothing but great towards me. I really do love the staff too! I was scheduled for my sonogram last Wednesday and they called everyone that had an appt to reschedule in advance. They got the regular tech to come in that Friday (she's only there once a week, don't worry he does sonograms too.) I called today for test results and they really do call you back when you leave a message. What's crazy is they actually remember you too , they don't fake it.

love the pumpkin comment! it's true though... right around 11 pm the boards and all seems to slow down!
I'm also up all night long... esp now that I'm laid off!!!
Oh that's awesome they called to resched and then had her come in to do the job on Fri.

I lost weight before my wedding too... but then after the mc and ttc, I managed to gain a good portion of it back..not all of it... but a lot none the less. When did you get married? You were 2010 right?

I lost around 20 pounds for the wedding and then gained back 10 within 2 months and then I was pregnant. I got married March 2010. I can't believe how fast things happened for us. We only got engaged July of 2009. It's been a whirlwind of events but I wouldn't change it for anything. I'm pretty sure our little boy will be here before our first anniversary.

You are right! they do... and I can't say I'm jealous either!!

that really is a fast ride!! 2 years... married and spawned!! Amazing!! that was more of my goal with it all, but it didn't turn out that way for me.
mine has been much slower. we got engaged dec of 2007, married nov 2009, then pregnant on HM... mc in jan and tried again until I got my BFP in October. My original due date would have been before my 1 yr anny.. but that didn't work out... so now this one is before the 2 year anny... which is fine, so long as everything stays on the right path and it all works out.

I lost a good 55 lbs before my wedding... then gained about 30 back. I never lost what I gained from the 1st pregnancy then added to it. I will most definitely have my work cut out for me once the baby is born. I want to get back to where I was, if not even lower than where I was. I hope breast feeding will help me a little bit!

Yes, sometimes life does happen according to plan. I didn't expect to be out of a job for the past two years! One thing happened after another and here I am. I help my husband with his business but right now, my job is full time growing a baby and then becoming a SAHM.

I'm really so happy that things are working out for you and that you aren't disheartened from the mc. A lot of people give up easily but not around the TTC boards, I see. It's amazing.

I can't wait for July for you! Things are going to pick up speed and soon you will have to have your DH roll you out of bed. It happens, it's weird and you feel like a roach on its back.

Yeah, I hear you lose weight. I'll definitely let you know if it's all true in hopefully a month from now! It was hard to lose weight just for the wedding and I had to survive the holidays!

Did you get bored after 2 years? everyone keeps telling me i'm going to get sooo bored after a month. I think they are crazy! It's time for a nice break! I've had a steady job since I was 13 years old!!!

I was actually happy to get laid off. I hated my company and the manager is a douche. I loved my coworkers though... and being there 11 years made it strange to leave. I actually don't feel like I left yet. it hasn't hit me yet.

I'm sick enough that I'm excited and can't wait to feel like a roach on the back... although i might prefer a cuter bug!

Have you thought about the belly bandit thing? I'm def going to buy one.. the cheapest one of course (they have 3 models) unemployment doesn't pay much.... I'm hoping that also helps a little bit.
John has been losing sooo much weight since our wedding and it's really pissing me off because he's making me look fatter and fatter and fatter with every pound he loses.

I do get very bored. In the beginning, I went on a lot of interviews but ultimately no one was hiring. We the got engaged. So my job was putting together a wedding in less than 7 months. In between that I temped but it was horrible job that was going to go no where, so we were doing well enough with my husband's company that I can just help him out when needed, which is rare.

I was kind of happy to be laid off. I hated the company I was at and not to sound snotty but it was beneath me. I took it because I thought there was growth but then learned they never wanted you to leave the department. It will hit you in a few weeks. It's weird, at first you feel like you're on vacation and then you're like "what now?" At least you're away from someone that makes you miserable. There should be a law against it when you are pregnant.

After we got married, we had down time between our honeymoon and I was going to go back to school. We got home and BOOM, I was pregnant. So now I'm a bored housewife. I used to go to the mall to window shop. I really suggest getting a hobby while growing your LO. We had an awfully hot summer, so I was stuck in the house because I feel like and then got used to being in the house. Worst thing ever.

I'm totally buying that belly bandit thing. I will also be buying the cheaper model. My DH, Josh, has also been losing weight. 10 lbs+ since I got pregnant without trying... that jerk. Thanks for making me look like a beast.

I just emailed a ton of photographers! I hope I get some nice prices and good responses!!
I notebooked a thread from a few weeks back with a list of photogs... and then I went to the vendor page and got all them.

It's sad but a lot of companies are like that... they never want you to move up. It's odd. I don't know what's the deal with holding people back. They will disillusion you into thinking they are all about promoting too... which makes you think they know they are doing wrong.

John bought me a ton of candle making stuff... so I plan on teaching myself to make candles! That and painting a mural for the baby's room should keep me busy, I'm hoping. I'm crafty so I like to do more creative things. I get in a freakish zone.

I don't like to go out in the summer either... i'm not a fan of being sweaty and smelly. Come June... i'm going to just sit home in the AC and count down the weeks and days till the LO pops out.

You will now also have to let me know how the belly bandit goes!! I'm def getting it though! Guys always drop weight like nothing... it's awful!! bastards!

Hope you two ladies don't mind that I read your whole convo . I can't sleep!

Kerri, I think I felt like I had pudge instead of a bump until week 23 or 24. My pics in my album are kind of deceptive...I look like a twig, and I'm totally not a twig . I felt like I had a beer gut from like weeks 18-23.5 (I started showing later). Trust me, at almost 36 weeks, everyone knows I'm a big prego lady coming through .

Also, veering off topic...I don't work either. We moved to another state for DH's new job just as I found out I was PG. It wasn't the best move to TTC as we were moving, but DH and I are actually really happy it worked out the way that it did. I'm planning to be a SAHM for about the first 6 months, but starting to look for jobs when she's around 4 months old. The biggest advice I would have is to make sure you get out of the house otherwise you'll drive yourself crazy!! Also, my cooking/baking has been AMAZING for the past few months .

ETA: I forgot why I even started typing this post--I wanted to tell you that your bump pics are ADORABLE!!!

I was "fluffy" to begin with - so no one will know till I'm well into my second trimester. All I want is for my double gut to become one!

I think I finally started looking pregnant around 18-20 weeks.

Its funny bc as your belly gets bigger you start to feel less fat..and the monster franken-boobs finally look proportionate by the 3rd tri

My movement didn't become limited until 32 weeks. Don't know if that's because I was so active the whole pregnancy-Once my OB put me on modified rest and I couldn't work out anymore was when I started getting stiff and movement got more difficult.

I will say though-at 36 weeks I still don't feel super limited...I mean, it takes an extra few seconds to get off the couch or bed-I can still put shoes on (just have to do a quasi-yoga pose)...so it's not that bad for me at all.

Thats definitely a baby bump and a very cute one at that!!!!!!!!!!

I know that feeling though. In the very beginning it's so hard to tell. I looked chunky for a while before I actually looked pregnant! It's so frustrating when you're in the in between stage! I think I started looked pregnant around 16-18 weeks and after the bloat went away!

im kinda confused with myself as well. i have some tummy pudge from before i got pregnant so i cant tell if its just me or the baby. i havent really taken pics yet because i feel like i'd just be posting my pudge lol. i still fit in all my regular clothes which is why i dont think there is a bump yet but i def get where you are coming from

my belly is similar to yours just lower. you DEF look pregnant and not fat. people are now starting to notice my belly (depending on what i wear) and they def identify it with and not !
