Ok, who has a "cake lady"
I'm debating between getting a sheet cake and decorate it in the theme of DS's first birthday, or go "fancier" with a nice cake.
Budget is an issue.
And I'm in Queens.
So it would have to be someone in Queens or not too far in Nassau.
Anyone want to hit me up with some names?

I'm also in the hunt for a birthday cake.
I liked these vendors in Queens. They both seem to do good work. Please share your potential vendors.

We used to ONLY get Dominican cakes Then we started using Valencia bakery and they're so good, but I was thinking maybe a cute cake.
I don't know budget to be honest. I know I don't have a lot to spend

I have like a REALLY dumb question.
Could I pick up a cake the day before the party??? I've never done that, not even sure if it's possible or a good idea. But if it's like a pretty fondant cake, I'd think that might be ok???
If so, then yes I'll take her info please!
If not, ignore I have a lot to do the morning of the party so I definitely can't drive that far that day.

Re: Ok, who has a "cake lady"
I'm sorry to hijack, but any of these "ladies" do nice butter cream cakes? I'm not a fan of fondant.
My wedding cake was ice cream covered in ganache, I really hate fondant.

I also used Dawn & picked up the day before. She was great. I did just cupcakes though, no cake. (If you look at my FB page, please don't judge on the big cupcake, my husband RUINED it on the way there )

We also used Dawn based on Diana's recommendation... she was a doll to deal with and will deliver for a fee. We are in oceanside so we picked up from her the night before to make it easier. Here is a pic of savannah's cake... its not the best picture but its all I have online...
