i don't believe that. i think it might vary person to person. i know with me, 3-5lbs is the difference between a size 2 and 4 for me.

It's about 5lbs for me. I think it depends on your size, and body proportion.

As the pp post said it depends on each individual. For me, 10 pounds is equivalent with changing a size.

10lbs is a good estimate for differences in size. But as other posters have mentioned it does vary based on the individual.

Re: Is this true: About 10lbs is 1 size
I lost 60lbs. I went from a size 12 to a size 2, which would be about 6 sizes....so that sounds pretty accurate to me!! Then again, sizing can be SO crazy with certain clothes. On average I used to wear between a 12-14, now I wear a 2-4..

Re: Is this true: About 10lbs is 1 size
I think it may be about right. I've lost 45lbs. Dropped 3 sizes.
I can fit into the next size, however, still not 100% comfy when doing the "Fitting Room Test"...LOL Bend, Stretch, Sit, etc. I don't like the red marks on me if the pants are to tight. I need room!

I think that's ABOUT right.
If I gain 8-10 lbs the pants are not fitting.
That's when I know to scale it back and back to my normal size!

It depends on the size and proportion of your body.
For me though it was about 7-10lbs is one size.

That sounds about right for an average. I've lost 76 pounds and I've gone from a 16-18 to a 6-8.

Well I was a size 5 and now ten pounds later I am a size 7. So yeah. Sounds right to me.

Re: Is this true: About 10lbs is 1 size
I lost five pounds so far and don't feel different at all as far as sizes are concerned. I think it definitely depends on the person.
Hopefully in another week, I'll be able to say that 10 pounds = one size.

Me too, I'm petite, so 5 lbs can put me from a 2 to a 0 and it's actually quite a pain when clothes are baggy/not fitted properly! I put on weight in my mid-section first so that is where clothes get snug/loose.
