Literacy Coaches?

Is anyone here a literacy coach in the DOE? If so, what does your job entail?

I am.

This year I was responsible for:
-modeling lessons
-observing in a non-supervisory capacity
-planning lessons with teachers (I was especially busy around the time when everyone was observed)
-holding common conference meetings each week
-writing curriculum
-working with specific teachers (some who approached me, and some were chosen by the APs)
-going to meetings. LOTS of meetings
-turnkeying info from those meetings
-Monday PD sessions
-when test time approached I focused more on working with kids (three groups) but this is not part of the official job description; I felt it was important.
-grading the 8th and 4th grade ELA (I was out of the building for over two weeks doing this)
-reviewing LOTS of data for different purposes.
-planning instruction for test prep weekend academies
