any other info you can share would be great!

Re: doula
The midwives that I see suggested a few and also some ladies on here recommended someone. The cost was generally around 700-1000. My midwives had no issue but they have a lot of experience with patience using them.

Re: doula
Check out Dona.org
You'll be able to find one in your area.
I looked into having a postpartum doula since this is #2 for me, and they charge hourly. I'm not sure what a birthing doula would charge.

Re: doula
I got reccs from here, from doing a google search and also found a list of names on the SB Midwives site. The doula I am using has a sliding scale. They want everyone to be able to afford a doula. After you give birth you pay her the balance based on what you think she deserves and how your experience was. Just spoke to my doctor about it at my 24 week appt and he was 100% pro doula which I was happy about.

Re: doula
Reading in here, many seem to recommend Vicky Moody.. I looked her up and see that she also is a lamaze instructor. Spoke to her briefly and she was great. She seems so knowledgeable and sweet at the same time. I am going to try to set up an appointment with her this month. I'll let you know how it goes. I don't have her number at my fingertips, but her website is www.labouroflovedoulas.com
