Silly Gyno questions
I have my checkup tomorrow and tomorrow will be day 5 of AF. Can I still go or do I have to re-schedule??

I was told by my gyn that if there is blood present when you have a pap it can give false abnormal rest results. I would try to reschedule. Otherwise you have have to be seen more often if you get an abnormal pap. But I am a better safe then sorry person. I hate going to the gyn so I want as few apts as possible lol

my last pap came back abnormal...but the other tests were fine (hpv, etc.) they said it was probably cause I was still staining from the end of AF... or that we DTD too close to my appt (but we are ususally careful not to!). You can go... just be prepared for an abnormal result if there is still blood!

This sounds like what Im going thru! I went last week, had spotting bc it was at the end of the cycle. I called the nurses the day before to make sure it was ok to still come in even tho Im still spotting. They said as long as its light come in. He saw staining during the pap but everything else was fine. A week later I get a call from him (I am waiting for him to get in today to call him back) but im pretty sure its bc of an abnormal pap and this would completely explain why! Note to self If this turns out being the case I will make sure to never go for a gyno visit the week after!
